I first encountered the Musical Veggie in 01 in Idaho. My mother had decided to bring me to the annual gathering as a b-day gift, and what a gift it was! Shortly after arriving my mom sent my friends & I out searching for water, so we followed the water lines to the point of delivery, and they led us to the Musical Veggie's water pump station. After collecting some water & bringing it back to camp we decided to go out exploring. We hadn't gone but a few yards when we saw a brother packing in carrying far too many bags, and then as we watched one of the straps on one of his bags broke. We ran over and picked up his bags for him, and asked him which way he was heading. It turned out that he was heading to the Musical Veggie, the one place we knew where to find! We helped him get packed in & they invited us into thier circle to sit by the fire, and that was that. I spent the majority of that gathering working in the kitchen; cooking, dishes, ect. Ever since i've camped with them & worked in the kitchen...
